Paul Tracy Dailey, 87, of Lancaster, went home to be with our Lord, Saturday, April 03, 2021 in Stanford. Born on Saturday, October 28, 1933 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Cecil & Sally Tracy Dailey. Paul was a retired farmer, bus driver and a mechanic for the Garrard County Board of Education. He was a member of Hyattsville Baptist Church where he served the Lord as a Deacon & a Sunday School teacher. Paul was a United States Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Nell Elam.
Survivors include his wife, Nerva Day Dailey, of Lancaster; sons, Tim (Melinda) Dailey, & McKinley (Kim) Dailey, both of Lancaster; daughters, Tracy (Tommy) Gooch, of Ottenheim, Margaret (Charles) Burton, & Paula (Eddie) Cantrell, both of Lancaster; brother, Elvin (Ercel) Dailey, of Lancaster; sisters, Wilma Brown, of Burgin, Linda (Johnny) Metcalfe, Mary Davis, & Jenny (Steven) Gomez, all of Lancaster, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, & 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 07, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Durham officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Full military rights will be conducted by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion. Pallbearers will be Matthew Dailey, Daniel Pilcher, Jordan Dailey, Chris Hume, Coty Cantrell, Jesse Cantrell, Parker Dailey, & Zak Dailey. Honorary pallbearers include Sheri Hume, Casey Dailey, Jamie Bratcher, Lindsey Dailey, Jenny Schuler, & Holly Hendrix. Visitation will be held from 5:00—8:00 PM Tuesday, April 06, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
