Paul Jansen East

Paul Jansen East, 69 of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born Monday, August 17, 1953 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Archie Dean “A.D.” & Bernice Olive Coffey East. Paul was a tobacco farmer who enjoyed hunting & fishing. He was an avid story teller and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed spending time with his friends & family as well as his special dog, Zoey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom & Allen East.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Fae Koon East, of Lancaster; sons, Jason East & Sean Tyler (Courtney) East, both of Lexington; daughters, Kelly Jane East, of Lexington & Tabitha Nicole (Christopher) Boyd, of Lancaster; brother, Jeff East, of Danville; grandchildren, Miranda & Nathan Butler, Lauren Babbs, Haven, Jamie, Maddie, Kylie & Ashton Dean East.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00-6:00 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Paul’s wishes for cremation have been honored.
