Paul Allen Dunn

Paul Allen Dunn, 62, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born on Saturday, October 6, 1962, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Carl H. & Ireaker Beasley Dunn. Paul enjoyed working on cars, and was your everyday handyman. He was also a former Peer Support Specialist at ARC Recovery Center. Paul was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sons, Antious Byrd & Jeremiah Byrd, both of Nicholasville, Mecca Penman, of Danville; daughters, Shanel Dunn, of Richmond, and Eden Penman, of Danville; brothers, Carl (Mildred) Dunn, Jr., Michael (Carolyn Joyce) Dunn, Sr., both of Lexington; sisters, Patricia Dunn Taylor, of Lexington, Cynthia Penman, of Lancaster, and Elizabeth Berrios, of Lexington; his grandchildren, Jordan, Ariella, Antious, Jr., Dominic, Evangeline, Yuna, Noah, and Kabriel, and his special friend, Shayla Swank. Last but not least, Paul had his special friends John & Grace Williams, and Diane Jones, who referred to him as “King”, and visited him regularly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Pastor A.G. Glasper officiating and burial following at Duncantown Cemetery. Pallbearers include James Bushnell, Elvis Buford, Justin Hubbard, Buford Penman, Franky Morton, and Terry Dunn. Honorary pallbearers include Michael Dunn, Jr., Dominique Jackson, Demetrius King, Carl Gordon, Demarcus Jones, Ameen Berrios, and Daniel Lirette. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the funeral home. A repass will take place for family & friends after services at the Kentucky Farm Bureau building at 751 Lexington Rd, Lancaster, KY 40444.
