Phyllis Long Allen

Phyllis Long Allen, 78, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born on Wednesday, September 16, 1942 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Long Sr. & Thelma Louise Naylor. Phyllis was a former Office–Operator for AT&T. She was also a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Allen, of Lancaster; brother, Gene Long Jr., of Lawrenceburg; nephew, Doug (Lori) Ray, of Lancaster;  niece, Cynthia (Sonny) Ray, of Stanford; step-daughters, Doris Jean Chadwell, Diane Dykes, Johnnie Allen, and Joyce Allen, all of Lancaster. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; Eugene Long Sr. & Thelma Louis Naylor Allen and a sister, Nancy Ray.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Watts officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chris Long, Ralph Broaddus, Lavonda Johnson, Sonny Gallion, Joshua Ray, & Dalton Allen. Honorary pallbearers include Matthew Ray. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM -12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
