Richard Grimes Obituary

Richard Jerry Grimes, 74, of Waynesburg, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Lexington. Born February 19, 1946 in Welch, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Martha Elizabeth Ward Hardwick, & the late Ernest Edward Grimes. Richard worked construction & was a former employee for General Motors. He was a United States Navy veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Dell McQueary Grimes; brothers, James Edward & Jackie Lee Grimes; sisters, Betty Jean Blankenship, Helen Louise Baldwin, & Phyllis Mae Chamberlain.

Survivors include a son, Richard (Jennifer) Grimes, of Science Hill; daughter, Tammy Mullins, of Waynesburg; sisters, Sandra Faye Mahaffey, of Kingsport, Tennessee, & Judy Ann Winchester, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Amber Mullins, Christopher, Ashley, Hannah, & Kristin Grimes; one great-grandchild, Peyton Fields, & two more great-grandchildren on the way.
