Ruth Ann (B.B.) Mayfield, 83, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Landmark of Danville. Born to the late Charlie & Bertha Greer Mayfield on Wednesday, October 9, 1940 in Danville. Ruth worked at Cowden’s Manufacturing, was an avid walker, enjoyed yard sales, spending time with friends, and was a member of the Lancaster Church of the Nazarene.
Aside from her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by sisters, the late Bernice Adams (L.B.) & the late Ruby Bolton (Donald), a niece, the late Pamela Smith (Danny), a great-nephew, the late Brandon Adams, and an infant brother. Survivors include nephews, Larry Adams (Donna), of Nicholasville, Michael Bolton (Anna), of Louisville, and Ricky Bolton (Sharleen), of Richmond; great-nephews, John (Misti) Davis, of Lancaster, Kurtis Bolton, of Richmond, and Brian Adams (Tara), of Richmond; great-niece, Mallory Smith, of Lexington; a great-great–nephew, Brady Davis, of Lancaster; and great-great-nieces, Jordyn Davis & Hailey McCulley, both of Lancaster.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Lobb and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include John Davis, Brady Davis, Brian Adams, Rick Bolton, Mike Bolton, and Jaylan McPherson. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Adams, Kurtis Bolton, and Mallory Smith. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM — 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the funeral home.
