Ruth C. (Carrier) Tracy

Ruth C. Tracy, age 94 of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 in Lexington. Born February 1, 1930 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Doc & Della Underwood Carrier. Ruth was a retired employee of Panasonic, was the oldest living member of Lancaster Baptist Church, enjoyed cooking and helping prepare for family meals, her flowers, and most of all her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Tracy, three sisters, Katherine Adams, Lois King, and infant Hazel Carrier, as well as a nephew, Bruce Adams. Her survivors include two sons, Mike (Phyllis) Tracy of Lancaster, Bill (Angie) Tracy of Stanford, two grandchildren, Michael Tracy & Michelle (DeLynn) Jones, four great grandchildren, Eljah Jones, Amber (Tristan) Hess , Michaela Tracy, Landen Tracy, one great great grandchild Laniey Rose Hess, and special nieces, Sharon ( Randy ) Adams and Vickie (David) Worley. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday September 5, 2024 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home By Rev. Harold Best, Matt Cooke & Gary Carringer. Visitation will be from 4:00—8:00 pm Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eli Jones, Landen Tracy, Randy Adams, Steve Tracy, Eddie Middleton & Andy Morrow. Honorary bearers will be Ronnie Barnes, Arnold Cool, Mark Cool, Bill Morrow, Rusty Sebastian, Dr. Jim Werkmeister, the Velma Lucas Sunday School Class and members of Lancaster Baptist Church.
