Saleh “Sal” Ezaizat, known to many as “the donut man” and long time owner of Sal’s Food Mart in Lancaster passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 24th, 2026 after battling cancer with strength and grace. He was 66 years old. 

Born on March 9th, 1960 in Madaba, Jordan, Sal came to the United States as a teenager to pursue his American Dream. Through a lot of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice, he managed to do so, leaving a long lasting legacy for his family and the community he loves. 

Sal is proceeded in death by his parents and sisters. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, Ikhlas Ezaizat, who never left his side. He also leaves behind 5 children—Shadia Johnson (Doug), Nadya Mullins (Brian), Fadia Johnson (Brendan), Mary Jarboe (Adam), and Shaker Ezaizat (Kelsey), along with a brother, nieces and nephews, and many cousins/relatives here and in Jordan. 

Finally, he leaves behind those whom he loved more than his children, his grandchildren, who will miss their Jido very much. 

Despite owning a small business and working over 90 hours a week, he still managed to find the time and energy to be a husband, father, and grandfather. 

Sal loved to work and give back to his community as much as he could. He was an avid Kentucky Basketball and San Francisco 49’ers fan.

His favorite thing to do was to make donuts and cut up and joke with customers who came into his store every day. He loved serving the people of Garrard, Lincoln, and surrounding counties, and was very thankful to everyone who supported his family business up to his retirement in 2020. 

Everyone loved and will sorely miss Sal “the donut man.”

Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at St. William Catholic Church, with burial following at Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers for Sal are Isaac Dabbain, Amer Dabbain, Barjas Dabbain, Ryan Hughes, Colby Reik, and Mark Robinson. 

Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Johnson, Brian Mullins, Brendan Johnson, Adam Jarboe, Daniel and David Robinson, Layth Mullins and Simon Ezaizat. Friends & family may share memories or leave condolences on his tribute wall at : www.ramsey-young.com. صالح "سال" عزايزات، المعروف لدى الكثيرين باسم "رجل الدونات" والمالك لسنوات طويلة لمتجر سال للأطعمة في لانكستر، توفي محاطًا بأحبائه في 24 أبريل 2026 بعد صراع مع السرطان بقوة وكرامة. كان يبلغ من العمر 66 عامًا. 

وُلد في 9 مارس 1960 في مادبا، الأردن، وجاء سال إلى الولايات المتحدة وهو مراهقًا سعيًا لتحقيق حلمه الأمريكي. ومن خلال الكثير من العمل الجاد والتفاني والتضحية، تمكن من تحقيق ذلك، تاركًا إرثًا طويل الأمد لعائلته والمجتمع الذي أحبه. 

سبق سال في الوفاة والداه وشقيقاته. وترك وراءه زوجته الحبيبة إخلاص عزايزات، التي قضى معها 44 عامًا ولم تفارقه أبدًا. كما ترك خمسة أبناء—شادية جونسون (دوغ)، ناديا مولينز (براين)، فاديا جونسون (بريندان)، ماري جاربو (آدم)، وشاكر عزايزات (كِلسي)، إضافة إلى شقيق، وبنات وأبناء أخوته، والعديد من أبناء العمومة/الأقارب هنا وفي الأردن. 

وأخيرًا، ترك وراءه من أحبهم أكثر من أبنائه، أحفاده، الذين سيفتقدون "جدوهم" كثيرًا. 

على الرغم من امتلاكه مشروعًا صغيرًا وعمله لأكثر من 90 ساعة أسبوعيًا، إلا أنه كان يجد الوقت والطاقة ليكون زوجًا وأبًا وجدًا. 

كان سال يحب العمل ورد الجميل لمجتمعه بقدر ما يستطيع. وكان من عشاق كرة السلة في كنتاكي وفريق سان فرانسيسكو 49ers. 

وكان أكثر ما يحبه هو صنع الدونات والتحدث بروح الدعابة مع الزبائن الذين يأتون إلى متجره يوميًا. لقد أحب خدمة أهالي مقاطعتي غارارد ولينكولن والمناطق المحيطة، وكان ممتنًا جدًا لكل من دعم مشروع عائلته حتى تقاعده في عام 2020. 

لقد أحب الجميع سال "رجل الدونات" وسيفتقدونه بشدة. 

ستكون الزيارة من الساعة 5:00 إلى 8:00 مساءً يوم الثلاثاء 28 أبريل 2026 في دار جنازات رامسي-يونغ. وستُقام مراسم الجنازة في الساعة 10:00 صباحًا يوم الأربعاء 29 أبريل 2026 في كنيسة سانت ويليام الكاثوليكية، على أن يتبعها الدفن في مقبرة لانكستر.
