Scott Broughton Sr

Scott Broughton, Sr., 71 of Stanford, formerly of Fredonia, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015 at his home on Maywood Loop. Born Friday, April 21,1944 in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Millard Abner "Jack" Broughton & Sallie Ann Fields. He was a tree worker and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Dillard, Dallard, Millard, & Jesse Broughton, sisters: Abbie Scrogham, Diane Mays & Helen Broughton. Survivors include sons; Scott Broughton, Jr. of Louisville, Jason Scott Willard of Gavelston, Texas, daughters; Tina Broughton of Garrard County, Lisa Baker of Frankfort, his loving companion, Shirley Sheckells, brothers; Andy Broughton of Shelbyville, Arthur Broughton of Stanford, Jimmy Broughton of Florida, Dale & Gary Broughton of Indiana, sisters; Maxine Rita Conrad of Indiana, Mary Taylor of Florida, Connie Sheckells of Indiana, fourteen grandchildren & one great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 20, 2015 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Lonnie Broughton, with burial following in Jordan Cemetery on Narrow Gap Road. Visitation will be from 11-2 PM Friday at the funeral home.
