Sheila Gail Harrison Brickey, 70, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born on Thursday, March 12, 1953 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Harrison & the late Sarah Catherine Estes. Sheila was a former house keeper for Signature Healthcare for many years. She enjoyed Bingo & going to the gambling boat to play slot machines. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Erwin Brickey; son, William Andrew Brickey; daughter, Melissa Brickey; brothers, Ronnie, Earnest & Robert Harrison & one great-grandchild, William Rodriguez.
Survivors include her daughters, Tina (Brian) Dailey, & Shannon (James) Horton, both of Lancaster; brother, Bill Wayne (Patsy) Harrison, of Burgin; sisters, Carlene (Robby) Carey, of Burgin, Freda Blacketer, of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Selena Brickey, Juan Rodriguez, Gracie Johnson, Franki & Charlye Horton; great-grandchild, Alilah Rodriguez, a host of nieces & nephews & her beloved dog “Bear”.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Daryl Hodge officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Wayne Blacketer, Nathan Hicks, Gary Coffman, Gencio “G-Man” Rodriguez, Sindy Blacketer, Bobby Barnett, Richard Harrison & Ricky Herring. Honorary pallbearers include Tony & James Harrison, Kevin Brickey, Canaan Bolton Fox, Austin Thompson, Roy Davis, Misti & Jimmy Walton & Dean Brickey. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Friends & family may share memories or leave condolences on her tribute wall at : www.ramsey-young.com.
