Steven Dean Lane, 70, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at his home. Born on Monday, March 7, 1955 in Fayette County, Kentucky, he was a son of Opal Sebastian, of Lexington, and the late Bobby Lane. Steven was a retired Lineman. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brett Lane, and a sister, Terry Ashcraft.
Survivors other than his mother Opal include his children, Keegan Lane, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Billie Lane (Chris) Parker, of Campbellsville, Kentucky; siblings, David Lane, Ginger (Kevin Fenton-Wells) Simpson, Barry Simpson, Gary (Karen) Simpson, Robin Lane; brother-in-law, Kim Ashcraft; grandchildren, Makayla (Oscar) Saucedo, Emory Parker, Ryder, Maysen, and Maverick Lane; great-grandchildren, Mateo & Lola Saucedo.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Ball officiating. Full military honors will be performed by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Steven’s memory may go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
