Terri Ann Teater, 66, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born on Saturday, May 10, 1958 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late James R. & Betty Clark Teater. Terri worked for her parents starting at a young age when they bought the Burger House Restaurant. Later in life, she became the proud owner and operator of the iconic Lancaster restaurant, and helped raise and touch the lives of countless teenage girls that came to work there. Terri loved gardening, cooking, and spending quality time with her friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother; Jimmy Teater; sister-in-law, Susan Teater; special friend Terry Shell Brown.
Survivors include her nephew, Jamison (Alicia) Teater; niece, Jade Teater, both of Lancaster; great-niece, Trinity Teater; great-nephew, Jaxon Teater; great-great-nephew, Grayson Teater; special aunt; Sally Jo Clark; special friend, Willie Francis Graham, and her special cats, Indy, Lee-loo, Butters, Leddy, and Aries.
A public visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00PM Monday, August 26, 2024 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Terri’s wishes for cremation will be honored after viewing, and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
