Terry Whittaker Dunn

Terry Whittaker Dunn, 48, of Junction City, formerly of Lancaster,  passed away  Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in Danville.  Born March 24, 1974 in Danville, Terry was a daughter of the late Gary “Smokey” Whittaker & the late Carol Prewitt Burdine. She had been a former State employee with the Department for Families and Children , and a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bailey Whittaker,  and two sisters, Lindsey & Crystal Whittaker.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter, Emerie Dunn of Lancaster, her stepfather, Jerry Burdine, of Bryantsville, an aunt, Kay Prewitt (Al) Segerlund of Nicholasville, an uncle, Ron (Dixie) Prewitt of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, and a niece, Sassy Taylor of Danville. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 5:00—7:00 PM                Wednesday at the funeral home. In leu of flowers, the family asks that all funeral contributions be sent to the Emerie Dunn Scholarship Fund at First Southern National Bank, 27 Public Sq, Lancaster, Ky 40444.
