Thomas J. Crawford, 79, of Mt Hebron Road in Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in Danville. Born January 31, 1936 in Hinkle, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Clarence & Carrie Mooneyham Crawford. He was the Pastor of Bryantsville Missionary Baptist Church and had formerly pastored at Beech Grove, Ephesus & Valley Baptist Churches. He is survived by his wife, Charity Hammons Crawford, a daughter, Sandra (Brian) Crawford Holley, of Waxhaw, N.C.; three sons, Michael Crawford of Landrum, S.C, Tim (Terry) Crawford of Lancaster, Robert (Miranda) Crawford of Richmond; two brothers, Don Crawford of Dearborn, Mi. & Estil Crawford of Grant, Al.; one sister, Corrine Smith of Corbin, Ky., nine grandchildren & three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 8, 2016 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Rev. Gary Howell. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday, January 7, 2016. A visitation will also take place from 2-3 PM Friday at Scalf Chapel Pentecostal Church in Knox County, with burial following in Dozier Cemetery.
