Virgie Helen Wolfe

Virgie Helen Wolfe, 79, of Springfield, Massachusetts, formerly Lancaster, passed away October 21, 2025 in Springfield. Born February 13, 1946 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Herman Lee & Cora Middleton Ray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Michelle Traver, a brother, Albert Denman Ray, and a grandson, Joseph Smith. She was a retired employee of Tubed Products Manufacturing and enjoyed dancing and reading. Her survivors include two sons, Billy Joe (Alexiz) Davis of Chesterfield , MA. And Wilbert (Melissa) Smith of Yorktown, VA., a sister, Mary Margaret Sebastian of Nicholasville, and two brothers, Donald Ray of Louisville and Wilbert Ray of Lancaster. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Victoria Davis, Danielle, Megan Smith, Stevie Lockaby, Krystal , Jason & Jessica Traver and Melanie Parsons, as well as ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Crystal Sebastian– McKibben. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday. Burial will take place in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne & David Ray, Wilbert Smith, Billy Joe Davis, Stevie Lockaby & Cora Sebastian.
