Wanda (Sparks) Allen

Wanda Allen, 78, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 7, 1947, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Elisha & Rose Day Sparks.  Wanda attended Leavell Green Christian Church. She was a former employee at the Garrard County Health Deptartment & Social Services, and was also a farmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Ray Allen; son, David Allen, and a brother, Willis Sparks.

Survivors include a son, Kenny (Satica) Allen of Lancaster; daughter, Karen (Bruce) Henderson of Taccoa, Georgia; sister, Carolyn Rankin of Preachersville; grandchildren, Molly Allen, Keaton Robinson, Clara Allen, Garrett Allen, Elisha Henderson, and Sara Freeman, as well as 2 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Day Family Cemetery, with Rev. Harvie Spry officiating.
