Wayne D. “Red” Dailey, 74, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his home. Born March 31, 1950, in Danville, he was a son of the late J.W. & Ruby Dailey Elam. Red had been a longtime employee of Feldman’s Lumber where he had been for 50 plus years, was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, and enjoyed farming and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pinia Liz Isaacs Dailey, a brother, Mike Elam, and sister, Debbie Elam.
His survivors include two sons, Troy W. (Maria) Dailey of Lillington, North Carolina, Tony J. (Denice) Dailey, of Nicholasville, two daughters, Leslie Collins of Lancaster and Bonnie Dailey of Jackson County, as well as six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 21, 2024, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home by Bro. Darrell Estes with burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christian Perez, J.J. Davidson, Dakota, Paula, Keith and Shelby Lear. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the funeral home.
