William Godber

William Godber, 81, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Baptist Health of Lexington. Born on December 31, 1944, in Corning, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Albert & Iola Fay Green Godber. William attended Beech Grove Baptist Church, and was a contractor by trade. He enjoyed woodworking, and most of all, spending time with his grandkids. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Nina Rapier Godber; sisters, Doris Jean Shaw, and Clara Bell Nelson, and grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, and Adrian Godber.

Survivors include his children, Tina (Rodney) Barrett of Lexington, Tanya Godber of Buckeye, and Billy (Crystal) Godber of Buckeye; sister, Patricia Louise Grubb of Corning, Arkansas, and grandchildren, Joshua (Katie) Barrett, Abigail Barrett, Matthew Godber, Alison Godber, David Wright, and Daniel Godber.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, and from 12:00 Noon until funeral service time at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Beech Grove Baptist Church. Bro. Andy Dixon will be officiating services, and burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include Joshua Barrett David Wright, Daniel Godber, Matthew Godber, Billy Godber, Rodney Barrett, Nick Myrick, and Randall Rapier.
