William Arthur Whittaker, 85, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Landmark of Lancaster. Born Monday, March 29, 1937 in Mt. Hebron to the late Marshall & Hazel Montgomery Whittaker. He was a former employee for Aspen Tree Service & Teater Bros. William attended Beach Grove Baptist Church, and had a love for hunting, fishing, horse riding and horse training.
Aside from his parents, William is preceded in death by a sister, the late Ruby Marie Snowden, and a brother, the late Earl Gordon (Gayle Livincy) Whittaker, of Casey County. He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Ballard Whittaker, of Lancaster, a daughter, Connie (David) Short, of Lancaster, a sister, Minnie Evelyn Lawson, of Bryantsville, a granddaughter, Laura (Chris) Williams, and great– grandchildren, Noah Scofield, Sarah Scofield, Hannah Scofield, and Dylan Williams.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Howard and Bro. Bobby Green officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include David Short, Noah Scofield, Chris Williams, Jeffrey Lane, Johnny Short & Lance Walton. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Lawson, Sarah Scofield, Hannah Scofield, Kaleigh Mosier, Dylan Williams, Ronnie Lawson, Gary Lawson, Shane Whittaker, Peggy Snowden & Pat Horn. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home.
