William “Bill” Gill, 83, of Danville, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at his home. Born on Friday, July 18, 1941 in Lexington, he was the son of the late William & Edna Mae Naylor Gill. Bill was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing, and reading western novels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Gill.
Survivors include a son, Michael (Sandy) Gill, of Junction City; grandchildren, David Lee (Kimberly) Douglas, of Forkland, and Kimberly Renee (Randall) Wofford, of Junction City; great-grandchildren, Addison Jo & Tatum Leigh Douglas, as well as his beloved dog, Chief.
Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday, February 28, 2025 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Bro. Jr. Fields officiating and burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers include David Lee Douglas, Randall Wofford, Jeff Johnson, Joe King, Jesse Fifler & Jr. Bowman. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00PM on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, and from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
