William "Bill" Kenneth Hurt

William “Bill” Kenneth Hurt, 77, of Paint Lick, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington. Born on June 15, 1948, he was the son of the late William “W.K.” Hurt & Doris Green Hurt. Bill was a lifelong farmer, he loved farming, and enjoyed rabbit hunting, and fishing. Bill was a Vietnam War veteran, and served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Hurt Todd.

Survivors include his loving wife, Judy League Hurt of Paint Lick; sons, Terry Joe (the late Debbie) Reed of Bryantsville, and Bryan Keith (Tara) Hurt of Mercer County; daughters, Rebecca (Tim) Coffey of Madison County, and Sondra (the late William “Billy”) Lane of Paint Lick; sisters, Frances (Leslie) Hensley of Paint Lick and Jeanie (Phillip) Carrier of Lancaster; grandchildren, Jon (Kasey) Reed, Jennifer (Wayne) Price, Austin (Rachel) Isaacs, Eli Ratliff, Abby Rippeon, Spencer Lane, Cameron lane, Rachel Goatley, and Jayden Hurt; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Natalie, Lucas, Alaina, Kinsley, Josie, and Waylon.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home, with Bro. Damian Phillips officiating, and burial following at Paint Lick Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jon Reed, Austin Isaacs, Spencer Lane, Michael & Jason Carrier, Wayne Price and Ryan League. Honorary pallbearers include Anthony Salisbury, Kenny Creech, Clayton Sheperd, Elijah Ratliff, Jackie Humes, Cameron Lane, Phillip Carrier, Bub Green, Jayden Hurt, Dean Underwood, Leslie Hensley, and Lloyd Sebastian.
